The West Haven Health Department is mobilizing an opioid response initiative to protect our residents from the pitfalls of opioid addiction.

Narcan

NARCAN® Nasal Spray was designed to rapidly reverse the effects of a life-threatening opioid emergency. It is used to revive someone during an overdose from many prescription pain medications or street drugs, such as heroin, and is available as an over-the-counter treatment. MATT’s Van

Bridges’ MATT’s Van is Connecticut’s first Mobile Addiction Treatment Team for opioid addiction. MATT’s Van reduces the barriers to treatment by offering individuals a way to get help without having to make an appointment at a clinic and wait to be seen by a clinician. The van is on the West Haven Green every Tuesday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Click here for the van schedule.
